Hi my name is Darwin and I have a passion for gold metal detecting and gold prospecting. That’s me on the left jumping-going for the gold. I have been gold prospecting for over 28 years. I started out by just using metal mining gold pans prospecting for the gold in the streams near by my home and finding small flakes of gold even then that got me excited. The price of gold then was only around $25.00 an ounce. My metal detector back then was very crude. Wouldn’t you know it; I still have the metal detector today and the detector still works. I have built this website to educate enthusiastic people that are interested in wanting to know how to use gold metal detectors and also learning how to prospect for gold using the right equipment. We take the time necessary to help you choose a detector or prospecting equipment that's right for you, carefully explaining the ins and outs of each device. We even go into the history of metal detectors and prospecting equipment! Our goal is to help you enjoy gold metal detecting and prospecting just as much as we do.
